June 2009:
My Baby 2 was announced at E3 by Nobilis and SouthPeak. It will ship this winter 2009 on both Wii and DS. Your second baby ain't necessarily easier to give birth to when it weights twice, but the joy is the same.Since the Game Connection with signed we partnered with a famous US agency to represent us. October 2008: For
the third time, we will have a booth at the Game Connection in Lyon
on the 5th to 7th of December 2008. Dancing Dots is quickly progressing
so whether we already met or not, we'll be pleased to see you there.

October 2008: Horse Life 2 PC version.
After 7 month, development of Horse Life 2 PC version is finally over (official website).
Release date: Christmas 2008.
That
team is back to console develoment, we have currently 3 games
projects for the two Nintendo consoles, and more platforms to come!

September 2008: Internal structuring. We
re-worked our internal organization to manage our growth and reach our
goal of being a high profile, high quality and original game
development company. Ronan now assumes the role of Creative Director,
Anthony is full time Artistic Director and Pascal leads the programming
pole. As you may have noticed, we still lack someone to take care of
the Website design, but that will come :)

August 2008: DS games approvals. Two DS games were approved this summer, namely "Tecktonik" and "Brico Utile". Both of them got approved on the first submision!

20th of May 2008: Wii approval. Nintendo
approved Dancing Dots as an official Wii developer.
|
|
|
|
|
5th of May 2008: We moved! While
Dancing Dots grew last year from 6 to 17 people, our former
offices were not getting any larger... Our new offices are located
between Gare de Lyon, Bastille and Nation, in a recently renovated
building. We are now enjoying our brand new workspace which is much
brighter, nearly 3 times bigger and even features a long balcony. Lunch
breaks under the sun are very appealing!

9th of April 2008: Next projects. Now
that My Baby B/G is finished and that the 2nd but yet unannounced DS
game is nearly over, we've started two new and exciting games, one on
PC and one for both the DS and Wii consoles.

11th of March 2008: IGS picks up Ride! for the US. Dancing
dots is excited about the cooperation with IGS for the US
market. Their sales and marketing expertise is second to none and we
look forward to a long and successful relationship. Ride! will ship
under the name The Equestrian.

25th of February 2008: My Baby Boy and My Baby Girl
announced. Today
Nobilis announced one of the games we've been working once the last
months. We are just a few days from the master! the game will ship in
two flavors, Boy and Girl.

15th December 2007:
We've signed a deal with UK publisher GSP to distribute Ride on the
other side of the Channel.
|
|
|
|
|
1st of December 2007:
Our DS development team continues to be expanded. Laurent, coming from
ENJMIN school, was responsible of our 2nd DS project Design. Julien, a
young and promising 2D/3D artist, is in charge of graphics for the same
project. Finally Cyril will help us as a developer (especially
Ludvig...) while finishing his master.

15th November 2007:
For the second time, we will be attending the Game Connection in Lyon
on the 5th and 6th of december 2007. We don't know yet who at Dancing
Dots will be promoted to booth babe for a couple of days. Anyway, we
are happy to meet top notch games industry people. Did you plan a

14th November 2007:
Scandinavian gods seem grateful we hired Ludvig, and suggested Pan
Vision to sign Ride! for scandinavian countries.

6th November 2007:
No girl yet, but we are delighted to get more and more pan european!
Native to Sweden, Ludvig got on board after 5 years of mobile game
development. Dealing with a single fixed platform is a piece of cake
after having shipped games for 300 mobiles...

5th October 2007:
One more coworker, but still no girls currently... Anyway Gilles who
graduated from UTC joined Dancing Dots to work on our biggest DS title.

1st Sept 2007:
Olivier joined us for a 4 months training period. It's time to master
the DS...
|

30th August 2007:
We signed a second commissionned DS game, Master is due for March. We
ambition to three teams working in parallel during mid 2008.

13th of June 2007:
It's
been a while since the last update! Here's what happened:

We'll be attending the Games Convention in Leipzig at the end of
August. Meet us in the Business hall to see hot PC/DS stuff!
*
We delighted to welcome Ronan Soulier as Game Designer. Ronan has
already a solid industry track record as designer (Red Steel, Arthur
and the Invisibles) on top of his cinema and video games studies. Yet
another lethal weapon for Dancing Dots!
*
Our first full game project Ride ! was signed for several
countries outside France. Frogster released the game in German-speaking
territories as Isabell
Werth - Reitsport, Nobilis will release it under the name Competición
Hípica and Akella will ship the game in Russia
soon. Other territories are available!
*
We finished our third PC game in partnership with GOST Publishing: Mes
Galops 3D. The game shipped in France on 24-04.
*
We recently started to work on a 2 projects for the Nintendo DS:
-
a casual project of our own, based on a real but unexplored universe
-
a challenging and interesting project that we can't announce yet.
*
We got our hands on a Wii in April, and like the DS this is definitely
a platform we will work on.

28th of November 2006:
We are pleased to announce that Dancing Dots is now an official
Nintendo DS developer.
|
|
|
10th of November 2006 - Lille, France
SdLL, a subsidiary company of Micro Application, announces with Dancing
Dots, a french video game company, a partnership to publish and
distribute Ride ! for PC Cdrom on french territories. Thanks to this
partnership, SdLL, brings a new generation of equestrian games.
« RIDE ! » is the natural evolution of actual
horses games and has been designed to bring to more mature gamers the
real sensations of equestrian competitions.

1st of April 2006: We moved in
our own offices today.

3rd of February 2006: our work
on Winter challenge is over, the game was ready on time. Next week
we'll move to our own offices; stay tuned for the announcements of our
next projects, this is gonna be exciting.

1st of December 2005:
we have the extreme luck that Constant Napoli, coming from the French
game design school "supinfogame", joins the team today as Lead game
designer. Let's get serious on game designing!

23th of August:
Dancing Dots is now a reality for the French administration :).

9th of June 2005: today we
started working on Winter Challenge at Cyanide. The
challenge is to finish for the end of January.
